Joining the Project Management Institute (PMI) is a straightforward process that can be done online. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to become a PMI member:
Go to the official PMI website: www.pmi.org to create an account by clicking "Register" or "Sign Up" on the top right corner of the homepage. Provide the needed details
The different types of members available are the following for you to choose from:
Individual Membership: For professionals who are involved in or interested in project management.
Student Membership: For full-time students interested in project management.
Retiree Membership: For long-time members who are retired.
After selecting your PMI membership, Add the local chapter (PMI Ghana Chapter) to your selection.
Follow the prompts to provide any additional information required, review your selection and proceed to the payment page. Membership fees vary depending on the type of membership you select in step 2. You will receive a confirmation email once completed.
This process should not take more than 10 minutes.
After this, you are a member of PMI Global and the PMI Ghana Chapter - giving you an automatic membership of the biggest Professional Body for Project, Program and Portfolio Management in Ghana, with access to both global and local project management communities.
